Why am I being charged VAT?

The European Union has passed a law requiring non-EU companies to collect Value Added Tax (VAT) on sales of electronically delivered merchandise and services to customers living in the European Union. This law went into effect July 1st, 2003. This does not apply to items that are physically shipped. The VAT is calculated based on the country in which the customer is located. Below is a chart with the current VAT percentages for each country.

What if I have a VAT number?

The order forms contain a field for your VAT number. If you are a business and VAT should not be added to your order, please include your VAT number here.
Note: This field requires the two letter country prefix as well as your individual VAT number.

What about Brexit?

Per new rules following the exit of the United Kingdom from the EU, we are still obligated to collect VAT on sales to end-customers in Britain. We are currently in the process of registering with Gov.uk for this purpose.
